Referee Badge Certifications
Below is the list of Referee Certifications available within AYSO. Each certification has requirements for passing a test, physical fitness, number of games officiated, and formal assessments. A full description of each certification can be found on the AYSO national website.
Each badge level represents an increase in your experience, proficiency, and commitment to learning and officiating. The badge levels generally follow the natural progression of the age groups and game difficulty. As the kids grow and become stronger, faster, and more experienced, the level of play increases as well. The AYSO badge levels allow our referees to grow along with the kids.
